The Commission Has Completed Interviews With Candidates For the Positions of Judges of the Zhytomyr and Sumy Courts of Appeal

On August 14, 2025, at a session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, interviews were conducted and the results of the qualification assessment of candidates who had submitted applications for the position of judge in the Zhytomyr and Sumy courts of appeal were determined.

Based on the results of the qualification assessment, the Commission took the following decisions:

The Commission announces the completion of the “Dossier Review and Interviews” stage of the qualification assessment of candidates.

In total, 12 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice at the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal, 8 candidates did not confirm their ability, 8 candidates will be interviewed by the plenary session of the Commission, and 1 candidate withdrew from the competition.14 candidates confirmed their ability to administer justice at the Sumy Court of Appeal, 6 candidates did not confirm their ability, interviews with 6 candidates will be held in the plenary session of the Commission, and the qualification assessment of 1 candidate has been suspended.

Plenary sessions on candidates who have received the conclusion of the Public Integrity Council are scheduled to be held in mid-September. By the end of September, the Commission plans to submit recommendations to the High Council of Justice on the appointment of candidates to the positions of judges of the Zhytomyr and Sumy Courts of Appeal.
