Following consideration of the recommendations of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine and the submissions of the High Council of Justice, 23 judges were appointed to the courts of appeal and local courts on May 19, 2026 by Decrees of the President of Ukraine Nos. 389/2026–411/2026 (in Ukrainian).
16 candidates were appointed following the results of the competition for courts of appeal, announced by the Commission on September 14, 2023:
- Maksym Zavorotniuk to the North Commercial Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on August 15, 2025);
- Viktor Valiukh to the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on August 15, 2025);
- Serhii Hlazko to the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on August 15, 2025);
- Yuliіa Kalmykova to the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on August 15, 2025);
- Iryna Kompaniiets to the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal (recommended for the post of judge on August 15, 2025);
- Oleksandr Avramenko to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Nataliia Volkova to the Zhytomyr Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on September 29, 2025);
- Vadym Karun to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Mykhailo Kutsenko to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Roman Minhazov to the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Maksym Oliinyk to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Oksana Parfenenko to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Viktor Serebrianikov to the Chernihiv Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Ruslan Sinielnik to the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Roman Kholod to the Zaporizhzhia Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 22, 2025);
- Vasyl Shevchuk to the Transcarpathian Court of Appeal (recommended for the position of a judge on December 08, 2025).
7 judges have been appointed whose terms of office have expired following the completion of their five-year term:
- Kateryna Barabash, a judge of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City-Raion Court of Khmelnytskyi Oblast;
- Yuliia Burzel, a judge of the Yahotyn Raion Court of Kyiv Oblast;
- Pavlo Hutsal, a judge of the Liubar Raion Court of Zhytomyr Oblast;
- Olesia Dupliak, a judge of the Commercial Court of Kyiv;
- Liubov Kodrian, a judge of the Apostolove Raion Court of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast;
- Ihor Maksymiv, a judge of the Rozhniativ Raion Court of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast;
- Olena Tatsii, a judge of the Commercial Court of Luhansk Oblast.
